Men don't cry

Yes they do.

And they should.

I am thankful for every single man who has allowed me to witness his vulnerability, bringing me a step closer to understanding men better.

I express gratitude to the man who shed tears while watching news of a terrorist attack in Paris. His tears revealed the pain of seeing his beloved city transformed from the one he remembered during his youth when he studied there, confronting the harsh reality of the world we live in.

I extend my thanks to the man who broke down in front of me when he reached his lowest point. Despite facing the challenges of divorce and his mother's illness, he fought fiercely for his little boy, who had suddenly become the center of his universe.

I am grateful to the man who teared up while describing the strong bond he shares with his son. Their joint achievement of a difficult sports challenge showed him the resilience and determination of his young son, who refused to give up to ensure his father wouldn't reach the summit alone, physically and mentally exhausted.

I appreciate the man whose eyes welled with tears as he reminisced about his own experiences. When I shared my feelings of loneliness and isolation working in pretentious foreign hotels, his empathy and understanding touched me deeply, despite his contrasting memories.

I am thankful to the man who became emotional upon learning of my illness. His genuine concern and support reminded me of the strength found in vulnerability.

By embracing vulnerability, you demonstrate great strength, and I am grateful for the opportunity to witness it in your presence.

To all the men out there, you are indispensable creatures that we women cannot live without. Thank you for being yourselves and for teaching me invaluable lessons about life and about you.
