That was the title of a book I read over winter, during lockdown, while living on my own. Perhaps it was an act of masochism due to the lack of human contact and everything that makes us feel alive.
One quote that came to mind was by Kurt Cobain: "She loves him more than he will ever know. He loves her more than he will ever show."
No, the book wasn’t that poetic; buying it was simply more food for thought, akin to what we all went through during the original so-called 'four weeks of not being allowed to go anywhere.'
I found it on sale on Audible and needed some entertainment during my drive to work.
It wasn’t a novel; rather, it was an analytical piece—a psychological introspection into people’s emotions and relationships. It included insightful interviews with strangers from around the world.
Listening to the various opinions and experiences of people's relationships, marriages, and affairs was intriguing. Some were surprising, some worrying, some I resonated with, and some I strongly disagreed with. Some made me laugh, and some made me sad. I did learn a bit and decided that I will revisit this book one day to see what else I might notice within a different frame of mind.
Enjoy my photos from around the world, as always 🙂
